charles tuttle

Charlie currently works as Senior Director of Business Development for Avalara, Inc. located in McMinnville, OR. After becoming involved in Prison Reform beginning in 2011 in Atlanta Georgia, he relocated to McMinnville in July 2012.

Charlie holds a MBA in Leadership and hosts a series of Bible studies in the McMinnville area. His passion is to improve the opportunities for all people being released back to society to improve their chance for sustained success.

david hansen

David is an attorney in private practice in McMinnville, Oregon. Early in his legal career, he served as a deputy district attorney and business litigator.  He holds a BS in Business Administration from Biola University and a JD from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.

From 1998 to 2008 David took a hiatus from the practice of law to serve as an administrator and teacher at a K-12 private school where his children attended.  In 2008 he re-entered the practice of law in Oregon, forming Zoticus Law, PC in 2010. Since that time he has served hundreds of clients, primarily in Yamhill County, as a family, juvenile and criminal law specialist.

David is passionate about seeking the flourishing of his underserved clients, and about pursuing a safer, stronger community through criminal justice reform.

Irma Verá

Irma has lived in the Newberg/Dundee area for the last 19 years after moving from Portland in 2002. She is the mother of three kids and has been a practicing pastor since 2010.

Irma studied English as a second language in the nineties and pursued a license in drug and alcohol addiction and recovery due to addiction in her own family. She later received her high school diploma, a bachelor’s degree from Chemeketa Community College and in 2021, finished her masters in strategic leadership.

Among her accomplishments is serving as the President of the Ministerial Association of Newberg in 2017-18, and preaching to other native Spanish speakers in the area.

 
 

Kim perry

Kim grew up in Yamhill County and lived there when Remnant Initiatives began. She now lives in Anchorage, Alaska, where she continues to serve remotely in her role as Remnant Initiatives Board President.

Kim is a full time hospice nurse currently earning her Family Nurse Practitioner degree. Her personal experiences inspired her to humanize people currently or formerly incarcerated and support their families. She firmly believes that love is a curative force. She is the proud mom to two amazing teenagers and one bossy German Shepard.

 
 

Luis Arceo

Luis Arceo has been a resident of Yamhill County since 2019. He has lived experience with the criminal justice system and the US Immigration systems that he uses to help Remnant Initiatives better serve Latinx neighbors returning from prison.

He is presently working on completing an associate degree in auto mechanics and hopes to become a certified auto technician in 2022. Luis loves working on cars, the outdoors and spending time with his family.

Nick Peloquin

Nick serves as Sales and Marketing Integration Specialist for Eventide Asset Management. He is responsible for integrating systems to best serve both Eventide clients and the Eventide Sales and Marketing teams.

Prior to joining Eventide, Nick had a career in nonprofit management during which he organized staffing, raised funds, and streamlined operations through the use of technology and data.

Nick holds a B.S. from Bushnell University in Accounting and Communications.

 
 

Susan Brown

Susan is a CADC-R, CRM and a junior at Portland State University working on her bachelor’s degree in social work. Susan has a passion for addiction recovery and works to create meaningful change, seeking social justice and equity for all.

She strives to have cultural awareness and enjoys working with diverse populations where she can help connect people to adequate resources to enrich their lives and reduce recidivism for those returning to community after incarceration.
